ThroughTheMirror is a browser history analysis tool built on a single principle: your data never leaves your device. This policy explains exactly what data is accessed, how it is used, and what we do not do with it.
The ThroughTheMirror Chrome extension requests one browser permission: history.
This permission is used exclusively to read your local browsing history when you
explicitly click "Analyze My History" on the website.
When you use throughthemirror.app:
Creating an account is optional. If you register, we store your email address and the analysis results you choose to save. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We do not store passwords in plain text — authentication is handled securely.
We use a session cookie solely to keep you logged in between visits. No tracking cookies or third-party cookies are used.
Saved analysis results are retained as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all data is permanently removed. We do not retain browsing history data — it is never stored on our servers in the first place.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
